Add noodles and remaining ingredients to greased slow cooker; stir to mix. Cover and cook on Low setting for 7 to 9 hours*. * I cooked this on Low for 3 hours BURGER 'N BEAN HOT DISH 1lb ground beef 1 can (16oz) barbecue beans (I only found 22oz cans, so I just weighed out the 16oz of beans) 1 can condensed bean with bacon soup 1/8tsp black pepper 1/4tsp chili powder 1/2tsp garlic salt 1Tbsp instant minced onion 1/2c grated cheese In skillet, brown ground bee; drain well. Thoroughly combine all ingerdients except cheese in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 9 hours*. Just before serving, sprinkle with grated cheese. Serve over hot corn bread, if desired. *I cooked this on Low for 4 hours. LAYERED ENCHILADA CASSEROLE 1 can (14.5oz) whole tomatoes (I ended up using diced and it was fine). 1 small onion, cut into pieces 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2tsp ground red pepper or chili powder 1/2tsp salt 1 can (6oz) tomato paste 1lb ground beef, browned 2c (8oz) shredded Cheddar cheese 9 soft corn tortillas To prepare sauce, blend tomatoes and their liquid with onion and garlic in a blender or food processor. Pour into medium sized saucepan. Add ground red pepper or chili powder, salt, and tomato paste. Heat to a boil; then simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Place 3 tortillas in bottom of slow cooker. Layer on tortillas 1/3 of ground beef, 1/3 of tomato sauce, and 1/3 of the Cheddar cheese. Repeat each layer 2 more times.
