Better Homes and Gardens Gifts from Your Kitchen: https://amzn.to/47PViLz ------------------------------ MINTY CHOCOLATE MALT MIX 2c chocolate flavored malted milk powder 1/2c white butter mints, chopped 3c nonfat dry milk powder 1/2c sweetened cocoa mix In blender container mix 1c malted milk powder and mints. Blend until mints are finely chopped. Pour into mixing bowl. Add remaining malted milk powder, non fat dry milk powder, and cocoa mix. Stir well. Store in airtight containers. Keeps for 6 months. HOMEMADE HORSERADISH MUSTARD 2 vegetable bouillon cubes 4tsp cornstarch 4tsp sugar 4tsp dry mustard 2tsp ground turmeric 1/4c white wine vinegar 4tsp prepared horseradish 2 slightly beaten egg yolks Dissolve bouillon in 1 1/2c hot water. In saucepan blend cornstarch, sugar, mustard, and turmeric. Stir in vinegar and horseradish. Slowly blend in bouillon. Cook and stir over low heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir a moderate amount into egg yolks. Return to saucepan. Cook and stir for 1 minute. Pack in 1/2c containers. Must be refrigerated. Makes 1 1/2 cups. Keeps for 2 months in refrigerator. HOMEMADE GRANOLA MIX 2 1/2c rolled oats (old fashioned oats) 1c shredded coconut 1/2c coarsely chopped almonds 1/2c sesame seeds 1/2c shelled sunflower seeds 1/2c wheat germ 1/2c honey 1/4c cooking oil 1/2c snipped dried apricots 1/2c raisins In bowl combine oats. coconut, almonds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and wheat germ. In a separate bowl, combine honey and oil. Stir into oat mixture. Spread out on a sheet pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes, stir every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and remove to another pan to cool. Stir to prevent clumping. Stir in apricots and raisins. Pack in tightly covered jars or plastic bags. Makes 6 1/2 cups.
