Remove from heat. Stir in salt, pepper, flour Worcestershire, and hot pepper seasoning; mix well. Cook, stirring, 1 minute. Stir in lemon juice. Spread mushroom mixture on toast rounds; sprinkle iwth parsley. Serve hot. DATE-NUT BOATS (pg 22) 3oz softened cream cheese 1Tbsp milk 1/8tsp ginger 4Tbsp finely chopped walnuts 18 pitted dates In small bowl, combine cream cheese and milk; mix until smooth. Add ginger and 2Tbsp walnuts, set mixture aside. Slit dates halfway through lengthwise. With fingers, open each date to form a cavity. Fill each with about 1 1/2tsp cheese mixture. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts. OLIVES IN BACON (pg 30) 12 pimiento stuffed olives 6 bacon slices, halved crosswise Preheat griddle to 360 degrees. Rinse olives under cold water; pat dry with paper towels Wrap a strip of bacon around each olive; secure with part of a wooden pick. Grill, turning frequently, 8 to 10 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Drain well on paper towels; remove wooden pick.
