About This Video

In this video, I break down everything you should know before applying for NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) — what it is, what you actually do inside the programme, and how to increase your chances of getting in. I walk through the official programme structure (startup internship + part-time entrepreneurship classes), the different locations/versions (full-year vs short programme), and what it really means to be a full-time intern while still clearing your modules. I also share my own context as an NOC alum, plus what happened with my original Shanghai placement and Silicon Valley plans getting cancelled due to COVID, and how the Singapore programme became the main focus. I also go deep into why I genuinely love NOC: the startup exposure, real internship learning (especially for marketing), the entrepreneurship modules (business models, pitching, ideation sprints, fundraising), and the network you get from batchmates, staff, and NOC alumni founders. Then I cover Friends of NOC (join it), the application timelines (Jan/Jul intakes), and what the interview process looks like — including common questions and the reality that even after school interviews, you still need to secure a startup role. Finally, I touch on NOC events, alumni examples, and N-House as a way to build community and stay close to the startup ecosystem at iCube.
