About This Video

In this vlog, I’m taking you along for an Austin, Texas “in a day” itinerary that’s basically my favorite combo: culture, good food, and a little outdoorsy reset. After lunch, we headed over to the Bullock Texas State History Museum (I was genuinely excited to learn more about Texas’s history), and on the way I even spotted what I think is the first Chick-fil-A—super cool, but Z was like “we can get Chick-fil-A anywhere,” so… fine, fair enough. I also passed by a business school and had that mini “oh my God” moment because my friends who went to UT might’ve been around here. From there, we slowed things down with a Barton Springs picnic—cool water, chill vibes, and tacos from Veracruz All Natural (honestly, such a good local moment). And to end the day, we went full Austin nightlife with Whisler’s bar for cocktails and atmosphere. Food-wise, I also tried Terry Black’s BBQ and I’m not even exaggerating: it was so, so, so really good, and the portions were super generous. The frozen margarita hit, and the sides surprised me too—cream corn, mac and cheese, even the veg were solid. If you’re planning a short Austin trip, this is a super doable route that still feels packed (in the best way).
