Watch the transformation from a pile of boxes to a beautiful creative space. It's been about a year in the making and my sewing room is finished! We moved back to Canada from Australia in late May 2024, but our shipment of household items didn't arrive until August. And then renovations started across the whole house. But the wait has been worth it! Come tour my sewing room with me. About This Video

Welcome into my sewing room—this video is the full tour, plus the real-life story of how it went from a floor-to-ceiling pile of boxes to a finished creative space. After Jason and I moved back to Canada from Australia, our shipment didn’t arrive until August, and then renovations kicked off across the whole house. The sewing room became the temporary “stack it here” zone for everything (and for contractor supplies), so I’m sharing the progress in stages—because it truly got worse before it got better. In the finished tour, I walk you through the spots that make my quilting life run smoothly: my filming wall with a quilt hung on a simple curtain rod, my height-adjustable cutting table with beautiful natural light, and my sewing setup on a sturdy old kitchen table. I show you the storage that changed everything—floor-to-ceiling built-ins with cupboards I can close (hello, less dust and sunlight on fabric), smart shallow drawers for tools and rulers, and big drawers for works-in-progress. You’ll also see where I stash my ironing board, my “beautiful fabric drawer,” and the bins and shelves that keep my scrappy quilting bits and pieces ready to play.
