In this video I’m doing what I usually do: a September declutter plus my October beauty basket, so you can see what I’m letting go of and what I’m actually going to focus on using. I go category by category (base, lips, cheek products, and eyes) and I’m really honest about why things aren’t working—too oily, oxidizing, leaving a white cast, pulling too orange, feeling heavy on the skin, or (my biggest thing) glitter. I just don’t like glitter on my skin or on my lips, and if something is finicky—like it only looks good with a super specific base—I’d rather pass it on and use products that are easy and flattering. You’ll hear me talk through some surprising declutters (like foundations that went viral but just don’t look good in real life, and pricey palettes I never reach for). I also share the patterns I’m noticing: medium bronzers tend to run too deep or orange on me, super saturated eyeshadow isn’t my vibe, and certain packaging drives me insane. Then I show what I’m testing in October—some new purchases (like a matte neutral palette, a cream-to-powder neutrals palette, and the lighter Hourglass holiday palette) plus a few expensive “on the fence” items from Chanel and Dior that I want to give a real shot before I decide their fate.
