I start with skin prep (because I skipped it right after my shower) and really focus on getting my face hydrated—especially since thicker moisturizers can make makeup sit weird if you don’t let them melt in. I also share a little update on my hair (I’m still playing around with my Dyson Airwrap) and why I like to re-wet my face if too much time passes before skincare. For base, I pull out an old favorite: NARS Sheer Glow in Fiji—but I have to mix in blue pigment because it runs too yellow on my light olive skin. I spot conceal with NARS Soft Matte (mixing two shades), test a Kiko cushion bronzer dupe that I end up not loving, and then I’m honestly surprised by how much I like the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look palette—blush, bronzer, highlight, and a full eye look all came together beautifully. I finish with setting spray, a little targeted powder, and my usual reality check: I own a ton of lip products, but I still reach for balm most of the time.
