In this GRWM, I’m using my beauty basket… again, because two products from my last video needed a redo. I wanted to see if I could make the Beauty Pie tubing mascara work better (spoiler: curling my lashes first helps a lot), and I also wanted to fix the shade of the Haus Labs foundation before it hit my face. My skin is super reactive and I’m really desaturated, so “neutral” foundations can pull orange on me—so I mixed in a tiny bit of LA Girl blue pigment to get a much better match. And honestly, when the shade matches, I feel like you need less product and you can judge the formula more fairly. I also played with those Jason Wu multi-use products from Target (cheeks/lips/eyes). I went in skeptical, because one formula for eyes, lips, and cheeks sounds “fun in theory,” but on my cheeks they actually looked gorgeous. On the eyes they creased a bit, and on the lips the lighter shade kind of deadened me, so I ended up adding liner and a Lawless gloss to bring everything back to life. We also chatted about makeup marketing (especially TikTok) and why I’m picky about reviews—and why I’m a total stickler for sanitizing my makeup, especially with declutters and donations.
