Hey everyone, it’s Autumn. In this video I’m doing my monthly declutter + my April beauty basket, and I’m walking you through exactly what’s leaving my collection and what I’m testing next. I always start with the declutter because it’s usually the stuff I tested from last month’s basket that just didn’t work for me—wrong undertone, too muddy on my eyes, too close to my skin tone, or it wore patchy. I’m also sharing how I sanitize what I pass along (fine mist alcohol), and I’m being honest about what’s going to a friend versus what’s going straight in the trash. A big theme this month is coloring and undertone: rosy and pink-leaning palettes/blushes just don’t flatter my olive complexion the way I want them to, and I’m over keeping products that only work if I “make them work.” I’m decluttering things like palettes that blend muddy, blushes that disappear into my face, and complexion products that oxidize into that creamsicle-orange zone. Then I build April’s basket by category—seasonal spring eyeshadows (yes, more color than I usually wear), neglected travel-friendly face palettes, and a handful of foundations/bronzers/powders that are officially on the chopping block. I also mention I cashed in my Ulta and Sephora points while I was sick, so I’ve got a lot coming in to test next.
