About This Video

Hey guys, welcome back—this is part 2 of my Horror Escape game tutorial series in Unreal Engine 5, and in this video I design a complete horror house from start to end. I start by saving and setting up the project properly (new map folder, saving the level as “horror map”, and setting the editor startup + game default map in Project Settings). Then I bring in a free asset pack from Fab called “House of Changon” and use its overview map to build faster, because all meshes are already laid out and easy to pick. After that, I build the house floor-by-floor: placing floors with accurate duplication (top view viewport helps a lot), adding border walls, creating a big double main gate, and play-testing from Player Start to check scale. A big takeaway is how I solve real production issues: filling tiny gaps by overlapping meshes, making a custom door-frame wall using Modeling Mode (plain cut, triangle edit, merge actors, boolean), and fixing bad collision by deleting it and adding my own box collisions. I also organize everything cleanly in the World Outliner (house > floor 1/2/3 folders), add stairs/railings, finish the roof, and finally copy the entire house into my night “horror map” to get those dark horror vibes.
