Episode 48 of Tina Tries is bringing the heat straight from Hell's Kitchen! 🔥 This episode I tackled a build I've been wanting to do for a while: Daredevil's transforming billy clubs that twist together into a baton and apart again into nunchucks. Full 3D printed, fully functional, and way more involved than I expected. We cover the whole process: printing all the components, figuring out the assembly so the transformation actually works, and then going deep on weathering to give them that gritty, battle-worn look. Because a prop weapon that looks fresh off the printer? That's not a prop weapon! #daredevilbornagain #daredevil #marvelstudios #3dprinting #howto ⸻ 🔗 Links & Credits MysteryMakers’s Patreon Page: https://www.patreon.com/cw/mysterymakers MysteryMakers’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mysterymakers_3d?igsh=bTI0b2tua3F4NDRw MysteryMakers’s Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1a9MDbxmAk/?mibextid=wwXIfr MysteryMakers’s Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/u/mmmmystery/s/vU0X70mtxJ ⸻ Want to print your own? 🛠️ Materials Used (Amazon Affiliate Links) • Mitreapel CA Glue with Activator Spray: https://amzn.to/41bQmiI • Hatchbox Iron Red PLA: https://amzn.to/47S2mcW • Sunlu Black PETG: https://amzn.to/40E6Obr • Picture Hanging Wire: https://amzn.to/4drcL2Q • Metal Picture Hanger: https://amzn.to/47S2RDQ • Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint, Black: https://amzn.to/4btyGnr • 1/4” Rubber Bands: https://amzn.to/4btyUuN ⸻ Recording your own build? 🎥Video Tech I’m Using (Amazon Affiliate Links) • MacBook Pro: https://amzn.to/4fUDiVJ • MacBook Air: https://amzn.to/4fYodlZ • Main camera: iPhone: https://amzn.to/3Kgci7p • iPad Pro: https://amzn.to/484Eioo • DJI Microphone: https://amzn.to/4fQZsYG • Lighting Kit: https://amzn.to/4mZvggp ⸻ 🛍️ Want your own piece of Tina Tries history? About This Video

Episode 48 is me finally tackling a build I’ve been side-eyeing for a while: Daredevil’s transforming billy clubs. Not just “looks cool on a shelf” billy clubs—these twist together into a baton and split back apart into nunchucks, and yes, I wanted them fully 3D printed and actually functional. Spoiler: it was way more involved than I expected, mostly because the transformation only feels good if the assembly is dialed in and the moving parts play nice. In this video I walk through printing all the components, troubleshooting the fit, and figuring out how to assemble everything so it twists, locks, and separates the way it’s supposed to. Then I go deep on weathering, because a prop weapon that looks fresh off the printer is just… not it. My big takeaway: plan for iteration (especially on tolerances), don’t rush the “mechanical” parts of a prop build, and save time at the end for paint and grime—because that’s what sells the whole gritty Hell’s Kitchen vibe.
