Episode 43 of Tina Tries is proof that you don’t need CAD skills to make a beautiful centerpiece. In this episode, I take a deep dive into Bambu Lab’s Make My Vase tool and demonstrate how to design your own vase from scratch. If you’ve ever stared at parametric sliders and thought “How hard could it be?” Welcome! You’re my people. In this episode, we walk through: • How the Make My Vase generator works • Tweaking curves and proportions • Exporting and getting it ready for print • And, of course, admiring it like we just reinvented pottery This program makes it ridiculously easy to create something that looks wildly complicated, even if you’re just aggressively moving sliders until it sparks joy. Is it practical? Debatable. Is it pretty? Absolutely. Will I make twelve more? The odds are not zero. If you’ve been curious about generative design tools or just want to see how far we can push a vase before it becomes structurally suspicious, this one’s for you. #TinaTries #3DPrinting #BambuLab #MakeMyVase #3DPrinted #ParametricDesign ⸻ 🔗 Links & Credits Bambu Lab’s Make My Vase Tool: https://makerworld.com/en/makerlab/makeMyVase ⸻ Want to print your own? 🛠️ Materials Used (Amazon Affiliate Links) • Deeplee Blue Purple Silk PLA: https://amzn.to/4s1Qpco 🛠️ Materials Used (Non-Affiliate Links) • Kingroon Red Green Silk PLA: https://kingroon.com/products/silk-tri-color-pla-3d-printing-filament ⸻ Recording your own build? 🎥Video Tech I’m Using (Amazon Affiliate Links) • MacBook Pro: https://amzn.to/4fUDiVJ • MacBook Air: https://amzn.to/4fYodlZ • Main camera: iPhone: https://amzn.to/3Kgci7p • iPad Pro: https://amzn.to/484Eioo • DJI Microphone: https://amzn.to/4fQZsYG • Lighting Kit: https://amzn.to/4mZvggp ⸻ 🛍️ Want your own piece of Tina Tries history? About This Video

In this episode, I’m proving (mostly to myself) that you don’t need CAD skills to make something that looks like you absolutely know what you’re doing. I take Bambu Lab’s Make My Vase tool for a full spin—starting from a blank slate and ending with a centerpiece that feels like it should’ve required at least three math classes and a minor in pottery. Instead, it’s basically me aggressively moving sliders until it sparks joy… and somehow it works. I walk you through how the generator actually builds the shape, what the curve/proportion controls really change, and the little choices that make a vase go from “meh” to “wait, that’s kinda gorgeous.” Then I show how I export it and get it ready to print, because the goal is always: make the pretty thing real. Is it practical? Debatable. Is it pretty? Absolutely. And yes, I’m fully aware I’m one good slider combo away from making a vase that’s structurally suspicious—but that’s half the fun.
