For the last year or so I have been testing a tent from NatureHike called the Village - the Village 4 person to be more specific. It’s a large cabin tent that features a very fast setup process - a process that is made possible due to an integrated frame system. I really like this tent - it was great to use in the summer and it has been great to use in the winter. The other day I was alerted by a viewer that there is an additional version of this tent called the Lite and it is even less expensive than this one here. In this episode, I will be comparing the Village 4 to the Village 4 Lite - we will go over the differences, my impressions and we will discuss whether or not there is enough done with the Lite version to justify a new version of this tent. - 4 Person Regular Village Tent : https://amzn.to/4t587g7 - 8 Person Regular Village Tent : https://amzn.to/4tGj87h - 4 Person Lite Village Tent : https://amzn.to/48DOJyo - 8 Person Lite Village Tent : https://amzn.to/4vlZmj8 ... About This Video

My friends, in this episode of The Outdoor Gear Review I take a close look at something I honestly didn’t see coming: Naturehike released a new “Lite” version of their Village tent. I’ve been testing the regular Village 4 for about a year now, and I like it a lot—supremely waterproof, excellent ventilation, storm-worthy, and it works in both summer and winter. The setup is super fast thanks to the integrated frame, and the price is already very low for what you’re getting. A viewer tipped me off to the Village Lite, so I picked up the 8-person Lite version to compare it against my regular Village 4 and to get time with the larger size. I go over the major changes: a less robust-feeling frame, the removal of the interior fabric panels (a big deal for cold and wind control), a switch to a PE floor, and a different rainfly that loses the reflective blackout/heat-reflect tech and drops waterproofing from 3000mm to 2000mm. Price-wise, you’re generally saving around $70–$100, but for me, the regular version is worth the extra money—especially if you camp in wet places like the mountains of western North Carolina.
