And I’m going to be honest right up front: a night market in Phu Quoc is a lot like a night market anywhere else in Vietnam—same stalls repeating (pearls, handbags, souvenirs, rolled ice cream, fruit, and food carts). But the energy here matters. The whole street is dedicated to the market, people move through it with purpose, vendors call out, families navigate the chaos, and it’s somehow controlled and loose at the same time. I show you the entrance, the juice/smoothie stalls, the rolled ice cream stations, and why there’s so much pearl jewelry here (it’s an island—pearls are a big thing). We also get into the seafood side of it: fresh displays like lobster, razor clams, horseshoe crabs, and more, plus the packed little restaurants along the river/inlet where everyone’s sitting down to eat. I also share a practical tip: skip the private taxis yelling at the entrance and stick to Grab—drivers are accountable and, in our experience, they tend to drive a lot nicer. Bottom line: it’s repetitive, but it’s real, and it’s a solid local night out on Phu Quoc.
