Phu Quoc has a lot of “sides,” and in this video I’m walking you through the one most people actually want: Long Beach (Tran Hung Dao Street) near Duong Dong. We started our trip in Sunset Town and honestly… we didn’t like it. It felt abandoned in the day and only came alive for the shows at night, so we moved and booked in the Long Beach area instead. This is the walk we wish we could’ve watched before we arrived, because it gives you real bearings for where to stay, what the vibe is like, and how far everything actually stretches. I take you the full length of Tran Hung Dao in the evening when it’s more happening—restaurants, grills, beach alleys, bars, spas, marts, pharmacies, rental shops, and a ton of food options (Vietnamese, Russian, Italian, Indian, and more). I also share the stuff nobody warns you about, like the Grab situation on the island—short rides get canceled constantly—plus what I was quoted for rentals (about 150,000 VND/day for a scooter, and around 800,000 VND/day for a car). Along the way I point out spots we liked, like Happy Bear for a chill draft beer, and Dr. Sweet Smokes BBQ for wings and ribs (and a clean kitchen I could actually see).
