It’s been a minute since we’ve had a real press loaner in the driveway, so we came back swinging with the first-ever Ram 2500 4x4 Warlock—Cummins diesel, 1-inch lift, Bilstein 4600s, and a whole lot of 3/4-ton charm. In this video I walk you around what makes the Warlock package different (monochrome look, flat black instead of chrome, big tow hooks, radar cruise, and that classic “this truck’s got balls” solid-axle vibe), and I’m also honest about the stuff that feels like parts-bin behavior on a $75K truck—like non-LED tail lights and some missing niceties. We dig into the Cummins inline-six (430 hp / 1,075 lb-ft) and the big story: the ZF 8-speed finally makes this truck feel competitive. We ran 0–60 and saw a best of 6.14 seconds (6.57 with me in it on a later run), which is wild for a heavy HD. I also talk ride quality—Ram’s coil-spring rear is a huge advantage, and this thing rides way better than it has any business riding compared to some other HD off-road packages. We cover bed and interior practicality too: the 2.4 kW bed power outlet for jobsite or overland charging, tie-downs, the bed step, bench-seat six-passenger layout with rear A/C (big win), plus a few annoyances like the headroom situation.
