About This Video

Before we get into the truck stuff, we hit pause for a second to talk about the Kerrville floods. That area is really near and dear to us—we’ve camped there, overlanded there, and even sent our kids to camps like that. We’re donating as Texas Truck Channel, and if you’re able to help too, we called out Texans on Mission and the Salvation Army because they’re legit and they’re actually boots-on-the-ground when disasters hit. Then we jump into the main event: the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport, which we’ve been trying to get our hands on for a while because dealers basically said, “nope, they’re sold.” This one stickers at $50,355 as-tested, and it’s way bigger in person than it looks online—almost like a thick Bronco Sport that grew up and got a better face. I go through the TrailSport-specific stuff that matters: real skid plates (engine, trans, fuel tank), legit tow hooks, a real roof rack (210 lbs dynamic), and a 5,000-lb hitch with a 7-pin. On the road, we 0–60 tested it with the RaceBox and it surprised us: 7.65 seconds best, 8.08 with me in it, and weirdly it liked tow mode more than sport. It’s smooth, quiet, and the suspension tuning is jelly-bean comfortable without feeling like it’s going to fall over in corners. The big question we leave you with: for about the same money, do you buy this or a 4Runner—especially if you’re honest about how often you really wheel?
