About This Video

Spotify’s default UI is fine… but it’s also the same basic green interface everyone has. In this video I show you how I completely transformed Spotify’s entire look using Spicetify—still the same Spotify app, just customized with themes, colors, layouts, and extra features. The best part: it’s free, it takes a few minutes, and once you see what’s possible, you honestly won’t want to go back to the boring default look. I walk you through the setup step by step on Windows, starting with a super important detail: Spicetify won’t work with the Microsoft Store version of Spotify, so I uninstall that and reinstall Spotify directly from Spotify’s website. After that, I install Spicetify via a PowerShell command, add the Spicetify Marketplace, and then start customizing—extensions like an ad blocker for free users, plus extras like auto-skip videos, bookmarks, and better lyrics. Then I jump into themes (I test a few popular ones like One Punch, Sleek, and my favorite transparent vibe: Hazy), and I also show snippets and apps like a visualizer and sidebar history. Finally, I show how to fully uninstall Spicetify and restore the default Spotify client.
