Chrome tracks everything you do online your searches, your history, your habits. So I installed LibreWolf, a free privacy browser that blocks trackers, deletes your data on close, and comes with an ad blocker pre-installed. No telemetry, no data collection, no Google. Is it worth ditching Chrome for? About This Video

Every time you open Chrome, Google is collecting data—your searches, browsing history, even your location—and that’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s literally their business model. In this video I installed LibreWolf, a free, open-source browser that’s basically a hardened version of Firefox, and it does the complete opposite of Chrome. Right out of the box it comes with uBlock Origin pre-installed, DuckDuckGo as the default search engine, and a bunch of privacy-first defaults like strict tracking protection and auto-deleting cookies and history when you close the browser. I walk through installing LibreWolf on Windows (EXE vs Microsoft Store), show you how the UI feels (it looks very similar to Firefox), and I even test ad blocking on YouTube side-by-side with Chrome—Chrome shows an ad, LibreWolf just starts playing. Then I dig into the privacy/security settings: strict Enhanced Tracking Protection, HTTPS-Only Mode, and DNS over HTTPS options. I also cover the real downsides: auto-updates can be annoying if you install via EXE, some sites may break because of the hardening, sync is off by default, and the cookie deletion means you’ll sometimes re-log into sites. If you’re on Firefox and want more privacy, LibreWolf is the move; if you’re on Chromium, I also mention Helium as a solid alternative.
