About This Video

In this video I’m looking at Tracker Plus inside DaVinci Resolve Fusion. This is not a stock Resolve effect—DaVinci doesn’t ship it—so you’ll need to install it through Reactor first (I’ve linked my Reactor install guide). Once you’ve got it, Tracker Plus is basically the regular Tracker node, but with a few features that genuinely push it to a whole new level. First, I show the forward/backward single-frame tracking option right inside the Tracker tab—something that’s missing on the normal Tracker node. Second, Tracker Plus makes reference frames way less confusing. Instead of the limited, messy manual workflow, I can set a reference frame using “Select Time” and the “Set current time as a reference frame” button, and I can clearly see which frame is being used. Finally, the big one: exporting tracker data into a Transform node. I explain the two export types (Stabilization data and Match Move data), and the difference between Linked vs Baked. Linked lets me keep adjusting the track point via offsets, while Baked copies all keyframes into the Transform—just remember to wait for it to fully generate, or you’ll end up with incomplete tracker data.
