About This Video

In this video I do a complete walkthrough of the Grid Warp Fusion effect in DaVinci Resolve. Grid Warp basically throws a grid on top of your footage, and you can literally grab the points and warp the image. I also quickly show where it sits in the node structure—just add it after the MediaIn (or wherever you want to start warping), and you’ll instantly see the grid in the viewer. The big thing I break down is the Source vs Destination workflow. Source lets me adjust the grid points without actually warping the video, which is perfect when I want to set up a clean grid first. Then I hit “Copy Source to Destination” and switch to Destination to see the actual warp applied. I also go through Magnet Type (Selected vs Region vs Magnet), plus Magnet Distance and Strength so you can control how points get pulled and how precise the warp feels. After that, I cover X/Y grid size (and why changing them resets the warp), subdivision for smoothness, and the viewer edit modes—especially Edit Line for building a custom grid. Finally, I touch on mesh animation so you can keyframe the warp over time.
