About This Video

The Steam Spring Sale 2026 is live, so I went through a ton of deals and hand-picked 15 games that actually run really, really well on the Steam Deck. In the video I show real Steam Deck footage and break down what matters before you buy: performance targets (30/40/60/90 FPS depending on the game), how the frame times feel, and what kind of battery life you can expect on the OLED. The whole point is to remove the guesswork—so you’re not buying a “good deal” that ends up running like garbage on handheld. You’ll see everything from heavier AAA stuff like Cyberpunk 2077, God of War, and Red Dead Redemption 2 (where I lean on sensible caps plus FSR and mixed settings), to ultra-efficient Deck staples like Dredge, Stardew Valley, Slay the Spire, Vampire Survivors, Hades, and Balatro that sip power and are perfect for quick sessions. I also call out a couple of real-world annoyances like EA/Ubisoft launchers (one-time setup, then you’re good), and why updates like Valheim’s engine/performance preset make older “meh on Deck” games worth another look during a sale.
