In this video I’m walking you through, step-by-step, how I got DLSS Frame Generation working in Crimson Desert on the Steam Deck using DLSS Enabler + OptiScaler. The whole idea is pretty simple: DLSS Enabler spoofs the game into thinking you’re on an Nvidia GPU, which lets us access multi-frame generation that normally isn’t available on Deck. But the setup is picky, so I show the exact files you need, where to put them, and the one launch command you must add in Steam so it actually hooks correctly. I start in Desktop Mode (seriously, grab a keyboard and mouse if you can), and I make you do the most important step first: backing up the entire Bin64 folder. Then I download OptiScaler (latest test build), the FSR 4 INT8 build with the RDNA2 fix, OptiPatcher (the ASI hook), and DLSS Enabler from Nexus. After copying everything into the right folders, I also show the crucial “delete these files or it’ll crash” part, and then we generate a fresh OptiScaler.ini and flip the exact settings I used (FSR4 update true, DXGI spoofing false, load ASI plugins true). Once you’re in-game, I show the little trick to make the OptiScaler menu actually appear, my recommended OptiScaler settings (model 1, fix broken visuals, Reflex options, sharpness), and what to expect in heavy city areas where NPCs can still cause drops.
