Filthium Zero is a chaotic action roguelite that mixes bullet-heaven gameplay with a unique extraction mechanic. Instead of simply surviving waves of enemies, players must collect and extract Filthium from corrupted zones while battling hordes of mutants. About This Video

If you’re into survival-style games like Vampire Survivors or Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, I tested Filthium Zero and it honestly surprised me. It’s a chaotic bullet-heaven roguelite, but the big twist is you’re not just surviving waves—you’re actively “cleaning” the map by collecting Filthium from pools and extracting it at collector points. Your burrow holds about 20 units, so the whole run becomes this super satisfying loop of fight, collect, extract, repeat, while the zone slowly gets purified. What really makes it pop is the movement. You can jump, dash, bounce off enemies, launch into the air, and even slam down using that extraction barrel, so it’s way more vertical and aggressive than most survivor-likes. On Steam Deck, I saw roughly 30–60 FPS on the lowest settings—early runs are closer to 60, but heavy moments can dip to around 30 when the screen fills with enemies and effects. I also tested Lossless Scaling, and because your character and mobs are small on-screen, artifacts were barely noticeable and input felt fine—great option if you want it smoother. Battery life was around 2.5 hours on my Steam Deck OLED, controller support feels great, and for under $5, I really think it’s a no-brainer indie pickup.
