This video covers my initial impressions of the ZMF Ori 3.0. I've listened less than 5-6 hours in total, briefly sampling the different tuning pegs along the way. You can find out much more on the Ori 3.0 over at the ZMF info page here (non-affiliate): https://www.zmfheadphones.com/ori3 Follow me on Social Media: Twitter (X): https://twitter.com/skeeb23 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/skeeb23/ Join my Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/c/Skeeb23 Interested in having me review your product? About This Video

What’s kraken everyone! In this video I’m giving you my true first impressions of the brand new ZMF Ori 3.0 (closed-back planar) after less than about 5–6 hours of listening. I’m not doing the full deep-dive analysis yet—this is just me getting my brain wrapped around it, talking through what ZMF sent over (case, pad options, plug/peg options, and yes… some insanely nice cables), plus early comfort/build notes. The torrefied black limba on my unit looks gorgeous, it’s about 500g with the aluminum chassis, and it’s honestly one of the most isolating ZMF closed-backs I’ve heard so far. Comfort-wise, it’s the first ZMF that fit my head shape right out of the box without me having to do any bending wizardry. Sound-wise, I focused on how the Ori 3.0 changes with the tuning plugs: solid plugs came off very mid-centric and reminded me of an “Eikon/Atticus vibe” in spirit—like a souped-up Auteur Classic with a bit more bass. Ported pegs opened things up with a warmer, more echoey reverb and sweet, non-fatiguing treble on tracks like Roy Buchanan. And then… unplugged. Taking the plugs out was that “ears popping on an airplane” moment—bass just let loose in a controlled, chesty planar way that got wildly addicting on electronic. I’m hyped to keep testing pads, sources, and do direct comparisons (Caldera Closed, Atrium Closed) in the full review.
