I’m heading to New York with the whole family and covering CanJam, but it’s going to be a different trip for me this time. I’ll still be on the show floor a lot, but I’m taking longer breaks so I can actually spend time with Bri and the kids. We’re flying in Thursday and staying through Monday.

Is Skeeb23 going to CanJam with his family?

Yep—Bri and the kids are coming with me, and they’re ridiculously excited. It’s their first major vacation and the first plane trip for the kids, so they’re hyped for the window seats and all the New York food. They won’t be on stream long, but I wanted them to say hi and share the excitement.

What gear is Skeeb23 most excited to hear at CanJam NYC 2026?

A few big ones: I really want to hear the Audeze LCD-5S, and I’m also super interested in ZMF’s new OTL amp Zach has been working on. ETA’s Ulie is high on my list too, especially because I was sick at SoCal and I don’t trust my impressions from that show. I’m also planning to re-listen to stuff like Valhalla 3 when I’m actually feeling normal.

Why does Skeeb23 say show impressions can be tricky, especially with HIFIMAN?

Accepted Answer

Because the show floor is loud, and some headphones are so open that you’re basically listening to the room too. HIFIMAN in particular can be tough for me at CanJam unless I hit their table early or late when traffic dies down. I can still get a general idea, but I don’t like over-claiming based on noisy show conditions.

What New York activities does Skeeb23 want recommendations for near Times Square?

I asked for kid-friendly ideas because we’ve got limited time in the city. People suggested stuff like the Nintendo store, museums (including Natural History), Legoland, and touring the Intrepid ship. We already had a couple ideas, but I’m taking notes so Friday can be a legit family day.

Accepted Answer

No official collab or sponsorship with Audio46 this year. That said, I’ll still stop by and visit my friends there because I always do when I’m in the city. There’s also a pizza spot near Audio46 I’ve hit before that I actually like a lot.

What is Skeeb23’s approach to IEMs at CanJam?

Accepted Answer

IEMs can get overwhelming because there are so many on the floor that it’s like five new ones drop every day. My plan is to hand-pick maybe 5–10 IEMs to prioritize instead of trying to hear everything. If you’ve got a ‘you HAVE to hear this’ recommendation, that’s exactly what I’m looking for.
