About This Video

Hey what’s cracking everyone—this video is all about the Fosi Audio IM4, a brand new open-back style IEM that’s coming in at $99 retail, but can be as low as $80 on Kickstarter right now. I break down the full unboxing/package (zippered case, multiple tip sets for balanced/deep bass, two tuning nozzles, and a 4-core silver-plated copper cable), plus the build and comfort. The shell is CNC aluminum, super smooth, lightweight (7g per side), and for me it’s one of the most comfortable IEMs I’ve worn because there are no sharp edges and it just disappears in my ears. Sound-wise, I go over what I’m hearing across sources (dongles, laptop/tablet, and amps like the Fosi K7), and the big theme is: deep sub-bass extension with some slam, neutral-ish mids that climb into an energetic upper-mid/lower-treble region, and then a treble that comes back down so it’s not piercing. There can be a tiny bit of bass bleed at times, but I wouldn’t call it muddy—just a lot of bass energy for the price. The open-back design adds a touch of air and staging with a bit more outside sound coming in than typical IEMs. I also hit track examples for bass, bite/grit, and vocals, and then I talk gaming—because honestly, this thing is stupid fun for Borderlands 4. At $100, it’s one of my top gaming IEM recommendations until something dethrones it.
