Hey guys—this video is part two of my nesting, and by the time you’re watching this I’m 38 weeks pregnant. I’m setting up a “bedside nursery” in our master bedroom for baby number two (and we still don’t know the gender!). Last time I used a bedside bassinet, but my son grew out of it in like 2–3 months, so this time I’m going with a fold-up mini crib that fits the space perfectly and doesn’t feel huge in my room. I walk you through adjusting the mattress height, locking the wheels, and how I’m keeping things neutral and cozy. Then I put together my bedside diaper caddy—basically the stuff I need right at my fingertips so I’m not getting up and leaving the bed a million times. I’m showing what I actually use: newborn diapers, wipes (I’m telling you, wipes are like toilet paper—get something affordable), Vaseline, my favorite foldable change pads, muslin burp cloths, Sudocrem, extra clothes, and a pacifier. I also share why a sound machine is a high-key must for me. Last, I keep it real with my postpartum basket. I’m only packing what I truly used last time—Depends diapers saved me, plus maxi pads, Tucks, a peri bottle, prenatals, and a perineal balm—because second time around, I know what I need.
