About This Video

Good morning guys—we’re in Houston officially, and getting here was a whole debacle. We missed our original flight out of Toronto Pearson because of the over-baggage line (car seat/stroller drama) and a super long TSA wait, so we got pushed to an evening flight and didn’t get into the Airbnb until after midnight. But once we arrived, I showed you a full Airbnb tour (Curtis picked it and he did so good)—open concept, huge island, beautiful bathrooms, and the backyard setup with hammocks and swings was honestly so nice. We kicked off the trip with Target runs (because I forgot Asher’s toothbrush/toothpaste and I only packed summer clothes… meanwhile Houston mornings were cold, then blazing hot, then cold again). We did the Balloon Museum and the Galleria Mall (huge, but we weren’t shopping so we left), then headed to the Houston Rodeo the next day. The rodeo reminded me of the CNE in Toronto, but better and less chaotic—especially with the Junction kids area being separate, plus petting animals, games, and kid-friendly activities. On our last full day, we went to the Children’s Museum and it exceeded my expectations—so interactive, not crazy packed, and it even had water activities outside so it felt like a two-for-one. We ended the day with PF Chang’s (the lettuce wrap texture threw me off, not gonna lie), then back to the Airbnb for bedtime routines, cookies, and a little “vacation rules” ice cream—plus a reminder, Jesus loves you.
