In this vlog I’m sharing a little bit of everything—Everly’s 1st birthday, my February reset, and some real-life mom routine moments in between. I take you along as I prep her “berry first birthday” cake (vanilla with strawberry filling) plus cupcakes, and then I recap her party at Happy Kingdom (Scarborough location). I’m not usually a play-place person, but this one was actually really good—especially the massive ball pit, and they make it easy with the room setup (tablecloths, plates, balloons on chairs, etc.). We even stayed extra time because the kids did not want to leave. After the party, I shift into my February goals: starting an anti-inflammatory diet and doing a no-spend challenge (outside of essentials like gas and groceries). I talk through what I’m cutting out—refined sugar, dairy, processed foods, fried foods—and how I’m planning meals more intentionally (because yes, I can eat noodles or cereal and go to bed if I’m not careful). I also share what I grabbed at the grocery store, what I’m leaning on from my past Daniel fast recipes, and the reality of the first few days: cravings, irritability, and even starting my cycle at the same time. But I’m committed to the reset—physically, mentally, and spiritually—and I’m setting up my Q1 goals to stay focused.
