In this video I do a quick unboxing of the Bandai Ultimagear Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Puzzle kit, the one everybody was freaking out about back in 2021 (year of the rona). I grabbed mine from Robot Kai—pretty sure I snagged the last one since they were sold out—and I show you what you actually get in the box: five gold runners (A through E), a couple loose parts in the bags, a simple instruction booklet/runner layout, and a few ads (including the Gold Sarcophagus, which honestly looks kinda cool). The big takeaway: this is Bandai’s typical gold plastic—swirly, shiny, and totally fine if you just want a quick snap/prop or cosplay piece, but it’s also exactly why I want to paint it. There’s no “how to solve the puzzle” guide included, so I’m planning to build/solve it live on stream, then repaint it using different golds (I’ve got a bunch of Gaia and Moto gold, and I may stick with Hobby Mio or Moto since that’s what Robot Kai carries). It might turn out looking like crap, but I’m gonna have fun with it—and that’s the whole point.
