What’s going on everybody—yeah, it’s been a long time, and I owed you an actual explanation. In this update I talk about where I’ve been, why the channel name change is permanent this time (Starshadow Woodworks & Hobbies), and why you’ve seen me clearing out tubs of kits, resin, minis, and even some of the stuff behind me. The big reason is I started my own woodworking business and I’m trying to get it launched with the goal of making it full-time—ideally by the end of the year, but realistically next year. I fell into woodworking accidentally, then went completely ham: reindeer on the bandsaw, flags, charcuterie boards, jewelry boxes, and even a client asking for decorative shutters. But it wasn’t just business keeping me quiet. I also had a pretty nasty scooter accident—lost consciousness, and ended up with a broken clavicle, broken elbow, five fractured ribs, plus pelvic and sacral fractures. Surgery happened fast thanks to “who you know,” and recovery has been slow and honestly miserable at times, but I’m improving and back to work part-time. Going forward, expect a mix: woodworking shop tours, tutorials, and practical builds like modular display/showcase ideas for minis and Gundam—plus the usual reviews, because I definitely haven’t quit the hobby.
