In this video I’m doing a quick unboxing of the Nonzero Studio “Knight of the Night Sky” model kit that I picked up from RobotKai. I’ll be straight with you: I literally don’t know anything about this kit going in—what grabbed me is that it’s different. It’s not a Bandai kit, it’s not a Gundam, it’s just its own thing, and the box art and “mechanics view” sold me enough to crack it open and see what you actually get. Once I’m down on the table, I run through the contents: a pile of baggies, a sheet of waterslides (thank you—waterslides, not stickers), a pre-built inner frame, and the instructions. The manual shows runner layouts, how to manipulate the frame, and decal placement, plus a build flow that has you doing some twisting/locking steps—what I’ve seen is the joints are supposed to lock in place, which is pretty cool. The big highlight for me is that pre-built frame: it feels stable, not overly loose, and the mobility is honestly fun to mess with. There’s also an LED setup with a battery pack/controller (I didn’t have the battery on hand), so I’ll be digging into that on stream. I finish by powering through the runners—mixed matte/gloss textures, multiple gray shades, clear hot-orange sword parts, and polycaps—then I’ll build it live and do my usual half-ass review once it’s together.
