In this review I’m putting the Jafanda JF180 desktop air purifier through a real “been-on-my-desk-for-a-month” test, not a fresh-out-of-the-box beauty shoot. Jafanda reached out after my last air purifier review and sent this smaller unit over because it’s aimed at smaller rooms—exactly the kind of thing that makes sense in a hobby room where I’m sanding, building models, and occasionally dealing with resin/lacquer smells. It’s a bladeless design, pulls air from both sides, and uses a pre-filter mesh, HEPA, and activated carbon (which is the part that helps with odors). I also show the little aroma pad tray—nice if you want to knock down smells so your wife doesn’t beat your ass. My main “shop tip” is simple: vacuum the filter screens with a bristle brush every week or two, especially if you’ve got pets, and you’ll seriously extend filter life. Noise-wise, low is basically silent but barely moves air; max moves a decent amount and you can hear it, and I tend to run it somewhere in the middle behind my monitor to keep dust down.
