Today we have a roundup of the best VR games released this year in my opinion. I haven't been able to play every game that was released this year but I have been able to play a lot. The games listed are primarily Quest and PCVR titles this year due to a lack of releases on other platforms. Let me know if you agree with any choices or if Ive missed a something off the list. Im bringing you my top 5 recommendations and some special mentions. About This Video

In this video I’m doing my VR Game of the Year Awards for the third year in a row, and honestly it still blows my mind how fast that’s gone. I’m keeping things mostly Quest and PCVR-focused because that’s where the releases (and the quality) really showed up this year, and I’m trying to stay as spoiler-free as I can because I genuinely want you to go and play these. I run through my top 5 picks and explain why each one landed where it did. Veil comes in at #5 for me because the gunplay is seriously strong and the vibe is instantly recognisable, even if it didn’t fully hit that “revolutionise VR esports” promise and the skill ceiling can be brutal. Hubris takes #4 with near-AAA visuals and a solid story, but the gameplay loop and clunkier shooting held it back. #3 is Saints & Sinners Chapter 2: Retribution—an amazing VR world with ramped-up action, even if it didn’t innovate enough beyond the first game. #2 goes to Red Matter 2 for its incredible Quest visuals, strong story, and puzzle/exploration focus. Then I shout out a few special mentions—Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate, Among Us VR, and Zenith: The Last City—before giving my #1 spot to BONELAB. It’s a bit of a victim of its own hype, but the avatar system, mission variety, and mod-driven replayability absolutely grabbed me, and it left me seriously excited for where VR’s heading next year.
