Is it too early to say ive played the VR game of the year. Well I think I have and its not even a full game yet. Assetto Corsa Evo is absolutely everything I've been looking for in a Sim Racer and VR in general. Now the reception for this hasn't been perfect but I've had an incredible time with it and as soon as I'm finished posting this, I'm jumping back in. About This Video

In this video I jump into Assetto Corsa Evo in VR and ask the question I honestly didn’t expect to be asking this early: have I just played my VR game of the year? Evo is super early access right now—missing a lot of promised features and absolutely riddled with bugs—but despite that, I’ve had an incredible time. At launch you’re getting 20 cars and five tracks, and it’s a genuinely great mix: from basic “boy racer” stuff all the way up to hypercars, plus tracks like Brands Hatch, Imola, Suzuka, Laguna Seca and Mount Panorama. VR performance has been a hot topic online, but for me it’s been fantastic on high settings. I talk through the current VR quirks (including the “Slender Man” arms, seating position, janky menu UI, and FSR blur) and the practical fixes I’m using—like re-centering with the arrow keys and turning off FSR when it gets scattery. The big takeaway is that once you’re actually racing, the driving feel is absolutely nailed: loads of road feedback, controllable slides, and that “one more lap” energy. I also cover what’s coming next—Driving Academy, economy/progression, multiplayer, and the massive free roam area around the Nürburgring. My advice is simple: don’t buy purely on promises, but if you’re happy with what’s here and you want strong VR sim racing foundations, Evo is already something special.
