Today I am talking you through the nightmare that can be PC Gaming and in Particular PCVR gaming. You may have noticed that I've been quiet lately, well I hit some issues and today Im going to talk you through them. Maybe my life would be more simple as a humble console gamer?

About This Video

I love PC gaming—I moved over from console about five years ago and I’ve not looked back. When it goes to plan, it’s unbeatable: unlocked frame rates, max settings, mods, emulation, multiple monitors… the lot. But in this video I’m talking you through the nightmare side of it, and why I’ve been so quiet lately—because my PC basically decided to self-destruct right when I needed it most. It started with infrequent crashes under heavy load—gaming, rendering, anything that pushed the system. I was running an RTX 3090 on a 750W PSU (with a slight undervolt), and over time the extra little upgrades (fans, SSDs) pushed things over the edge. I swapped to a 1000W Corsair RMx, but then I hit constant crashes and boot issues that pointed to RAM… which turned into a motherboard problem… which turned into BIOS/OS headaches… and then the real kicker: my AIO failed and cooked my CPU. Over a few months I ended up replacing the PSU, motherboard, RAM, CPU, and cooling—basically a rebuild—without any actual “upgrade,” and it wrecked my upload schedule around the PSVR2 window. Do I regret PC gaming? Hell no. It’s frustrating, expensive, and sometimes brutal—but when it’s working, PCVR and PC gaming are still where I want to be.
