Why I Chose the K&N Intake for the new turbo Toyotas — Turbo Sound + Better Airflow

We just finished installing the K&N Cold Air Intake on the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 (LC250), and in this video, I break down why I chose K&N over other intake options. The biggest difference is the way this kit deletes the factory air chamber/resonator (the piece with internal baffles) that’s designed to quiet the intake and turbo noises. If you’re a car enthusiast and actually want to hear the turbo spool, this setup helps bring that sound back while improving airflow with the included billet turbo inlet. I’ll also show you what the factory part looks like when it’s cut open, so you can see the baffling that disrupts airflow and kills sound. The installation is straightforward, but there are a few key steps: removing the factory intake, moving the charge pipes out of the way, deleting the air chamber, installing the turbo inlet, then fitting the 3D-scanned/CAD-designed airbox and sealing it up with the foam filter piece. The kit also includes a cap that’s especially useful if you’re running (or planning) a snorkel, since it helps force air to pull from the snorkel path instead of the front inlet.
