About This Video

In this episode I’m out bright and early in Allen, Texas doing a full outdoor entertainment upgrade: a patio TV system with a 55” Samsung Terrace, plus two separate audio zones—patio and pool. The customer had an indoor TV mounted outside (which obviously failed), so we’re replacing it the right way with an outdoor-rated display on a SunBrite articulating mount. For audio, I’m installing Episode outdoor speakers under the covered patio, and a Red Atom landscape system around the pool with four 6.5” speakers and a 12” burial sub. A big part of this job was cleanup and doing things correctly for outdoor reliability. The old cedar box had rotting wood, rusted drywall screws, and even rodent droppings inside—so I call out why proper outdoor hardware and better enclosure planning matters. We trench and protect wiring with conduit, use burial-rated speaker cable, and keep power and data separated (unlike the previous install). I also show how we’re using a Binary ARC kit (audio over Cat6) so we can get ARC/CEC control back to the Sonos amps in the game room without running a bunch of extra HDMI outside. If you want a great-value outdoor setup with solid performance and a clean install, this is a good blueprint.
