In this video I’m out in Frisco, Texas doing what turned into a full smart home AV overhaul—Control4 automation, whole-home audio, multiple Samsung Frame TVs with Deco TV frames, and a dedicated Klipsch THX theater. A lot of the house was “already installed” when the customer bought it, but the wiring, speaker locations, and equipment layout just weren’t ideal, so we rewired rooms, upgraded speakers, added Control4 lighting, and centralized everything into a proper 35U rack so cable management and serviceability are actually doable. Outside was a big one: the customer was tired of indoor TVs dying in the humidity, so we went SunBrite on a MantelMount MM720 in the cabana, with the Roku and network gear tucked inside the SunBrite’s sealed compartment. For audio/video, we simplified the old failed matrix approach—Roku at every TV, then AVPro Edge audio transmitters back to the AEX hub feeding an amp for eight audio zones. Upstairs, the theater got a Severtson Cinema White MicroPerf screen (IMAX-style material), Klipsch THX in-walls behind the screen, four surrounds, dual 16" Klipsch subs, and Integra AVRs—finished off with Control4 touch panel control so the whole house is easy to use day-to-day.
