In this video I’m out in Prosper, Texas doing a custom install of a MantelMount MM860 above a fireplace with a 75-inch Samsung Frame TV. The homeowner previously had the TV mounted on a Sanus-style mount, and the One Connect box was literally zip-tied to the back of the TV—which is a problem on a Frame because all your inputs and power live in that One Connect box. Our goal was to clean up the install, relocate the One Connect down into the cabinet with the rest of the gear, and make the setup function the way it should. Because we wanted the cleanest look possible, we recessed the MM860 into the wall. That meant masking everything off, cutting tile with an angle grinder, dealing with an offset electrical outlet, and then discovering big blocking behind the wall that forced us into more framing than expected. Once it was framed and level, we mounted everything up, added the new MantelMount soundbar bracket kit for the Bose soundbar, and tied the mount into Control4. I show how I programmed custom buttons (up/down/stop/memory presets/home) and how tight the Frame sits to the wall in Art Mode—about as clean as it gets for a motorized over-fireplace solution.
