About This Video

Hey guys, Chad with Pure Media Systems. In this install I’m giving you a quick walkthrough of a setup we just finished: a Samsung 83” S90C QD‑OLED paired with a Sonos Arc, all mounted over a fireplace on the MantelMount MM815. This is the kind of project we do all the time in North Texas—high fireplace placement, clean look, and making it actually comfortable to watch. I show how the MM815 works in real life, including the default run up/run down controls to bring the TV to the “home” position, plus how we set presets for side rotation so the screen can face the kitchen area at the right height. We also point out the heat sensor sticking out under the TV—since the homeowner plans to use the fireplace, that sensor is there to help protect the TV if things get too warm. On the install side, we did a surface mount because there’s brick behind the wall, and we moved the wall plates so they’re off to the side of the arm for proper clearance and cable routing. The customer’s also painting the covers to match the fresh wall paint for a finished look.
