Also available is the Red4Land speaker system with 4" satellite speakers and a 10" subwoofer! The speakers and subwoofers are available separately or in bundles! This is a versatile system at a great price. If you’re looking to add outdoor audio to your yard or pool, we can design a system to fit your space. If you were thinking of just throwing a couple of rock speakers in the corners around your pool, you’re going to be much happier with the full range of sound that you’ll get from the landscape speakers, plus the in-ground subwoofer delivers deep bass you won’t get from a rock speaker. You can get a better experience at a comparable price. Another benefit of going with a landscape system is that the music points back at your house from the edges of your yard. In the right setup, you’ll have coverage anywhere you are in the yard. On wall speakers are typically going to be in just a couple of spots and sending your music away from your house. It results in needing to play your music at a higher volume to hear it everywhere and the audio bleeding into your neighbors’ yards. Based on the size of your yard or specifically the areas you want music, this system can be set up from 2 speakers and a subwoofer, up to 8 speakers and two subwoofers. Or use them for multiple zones like a pool zone, patio zone, cabana, etc.! Using streaming audio sources such as Control4, Sonos, or VSSL I can have each zone playing the same music or entirely different music depending on who is in each zone. Installation of these systems requires good planning and some hard work to make sure the wires are buried correctly and to get the sub buried. I definitely recommend having a professional installation done, especially considering that your wires are likely running into the house and you’ll want them hidden. The speakers are designed to blend into your existing shrubbery so they are heard and not seen. I’m setting mine up as a client demo so they’re a little more noticeable. They system withstands the heat of summer and the freezing temperatures in winter. 6.5″ Landscape Audio Speaker with stake (pair) RED6SAT-2PK Features: Made of ASA Material to withstand harsh weather conditions Includes 11” ground stakes Includes 3′ direct-burial speaker wire Expandable design up to 8.2 configuration .5” National Pipe Thread for attachment to various ground stakes, mounts and risers Specifications: 6.5″ Polypropylene Waterproof Cone with Rubber Surround .75″ Marine Grade PEI Tweeter Power Handling: 125W RMS/250W Max Frequency Response: 50Hz-20kHz + 3dB Impedance: 16Ω SPL: 87 dB @ 1w/1m Dimensions: 11.38″ length x 7.5″ diameter each Weight: 6.17 lbs. About This Video

In this project I’m out in Frisco, Texas installing the Red Atom Red6Land landscape speaker system, and I’ll show you how we lay it out and why I think it’s one of the best value outdoor audio options right now. This is a 4.1 setup powered by a Sonos Amp: four 6.5" two-way landscape speakers (6.5" woofer with a 0.75" tweeter) plus a dual voice coil 12" burial-rated subwoofer. The whole system is marine grade and built for the elements, and the 16-ohm design gives you flexibility if you want to expand—our showroom even runs it as a 6.1. A big part of getting outdoor audio right is planning and doing the hard work the right way. We trench, run direct-burial rated cable (I prefer burial-rated for our installs), place speakers around the pool to cover the lounge areas, and properly set the sub with gravel and sand for drainage before backfilling. For the amp location, I route the wire cleanly through the wall and down the downspout area so everything stays tidy and serviceable. The takeaway: a true landscape system with an in-ground sub gives you full-range sound and better coverage without needing to blast volume across the neighborhood.
