About This Video

Who would’ve thought in 2025 we’d be blowing up lights? In this video I’m testing Neewer’s Lightweight Inflatable Light Stick — a compact LED tube that packs down ridiculously small, but opens up into a proper usable light. I run through the basics: it’s about 260g, gives around 50 minutes at full brightness, and it’s USB-C powered so you can also run it off a power bank for longer shoots. It’s the kind of thing that actually makes sense if you travel, work in tight spaces, or just want something that lives in your camera bag “just in case.” I show you how quick it is to inflate (about 10–15 seconds), then we get to the point and I ramp it from 10% up to 100% so you can see what it does in a dark room. The other big win is practicality: it’s waterproof thanks to the sealed USB-C port, and it’s magnetic on the back so you can slap it onto poles, metal surfaces, or even a ceiling for quick overhead lighting. Neewer also includes a magnetic mount so you can stick it on a camera as a lightweight fill. At around $80, I genuinely think grabbing a couple could seriously boost a small lighting kit without adding bulk.
