About This Video

In this video I’m testing the Maono Wave T5 wireless mic, and the big headline is the AI noise cancellation/voice isolation. I start by literally flicking the AI on and off so you can hear the difference straight away (I even demo it with a hoover running). The audio you’re hearing is straight out of the mic with no post editing at all, so it’s a proper “what you hear is what you get” kind of test. I go through what you actually get in the combo pack: two tiny transmitters, a charging case, a camera receiver, plus USB‑C and Lightning phone receivers. The phone receiver is genuinely clever because it lets you charge your phone at the same time, and it also plays audio back instantly (which is usually a pain when something’s plugged in). You also get magnetic clips, dead cats (they work, but they’re fiddly to fit), a neck lanyard mount for hiding the mic under clothing, and even stickers to help you blend it in or just have a bit of fun. I also show the app, which surprised me—nice and intuitive, with adjustable isolation levels (so you can avoid that tinny sound), plus optional voice “sound colorization” if you want it. Price-wise, it’s around £93 at the moment (normally £120), and for the accessories and features, I think it’s an absolute steal.
