Your action camera is more than an action camera — and in this video I’m walking you through the accessories I actually use to turn the DJI Action 5 Pro into a proper little production setup. I start with what I think is the foundation: a cage. The Tilta metal cage gives you more mounting options than the stock plastic one (hot shoes, 1/4" thread with safety points) and it’s just easier to live with day-to-day when you’re swapping batteries and moving fast. From there I build it out with the bits that make a real difference in the field: a side handle for control and grip, magnetic mounts so I can run my iPhone on top as a bigger display (and adjust it for low angles), plus a SmallRig adapter so I can throw the Action 5 Pro onto basically any tripod. I also cover K&F ND filters for manual control, my new favourite budget audio upgrade (DJI Mic Mini), and mounting options for vehicles — magnetic, handlebar, and my favourite: the Tilta Hydra Alien Mini, which isn’t a gimbal but does take the bounce out. And then I finish with a sleeper pick: a monopod. Because the camera is so small, you can get really creative with push-ins, pull-backs, and shots through windows or cars. This whole kit is about speed, flexibility, and getting better footage without overcomplicating the setup.
