In this video I’m reviewing the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and running through my 9 best features—stuff that actually matters when you’re out filming, not just reading specs. The big headline for me is Super Night Mode. I was genuinely a bit dubious at first (that ISO range looks scary), but once you understand it’s using AI noise reduction and you compare it side-by-side with the Action 4, it’s literally “night and day” in terms of usable night footage. I also cover features that make this camera more practical day-to-day: 4K 4:3 for anyone editing into portrait for TikTok/Instagram, the brighter OLED screens (1000 nits on the rear), and subject tracking designed specifically for portrait framing. Then there’s the stuff I love as someone who actually uses these in the field—240 minutes battery life, 47GB internal storage for those “I forgot my SD card” moments, pre-record to catch action you’d normally miss, a scheduled recording timer for sunrise/sunset without you being there, and DJI’s interface which is quick to swipe around and doesn’t make you dig through menus.
