About This Video

If your dog struggles with separation anxiety, I’ve been there—literally with my girl Gigi. When I first adopted her, I worked from home and we were together 24/7. So when I finally had to leave the house, she was so attached that she’d bark uncontrollably and even chew up my carpet. In this video, I share the exact tips I used in our daily routine to help ease her anxiety (and honestly, mine too). I walk you through six things that truly made a difference for us: building positive “alone time” while I’m still home (using KONGs, lick mats, and puzzle toys), crate training the right way (never as punishment), exercising before I leave so she’s tired, starting with short outings and slowly increasing time away, leaving background noise like the TV on, and keeping goodbyes/greetings super low-key so I’m not accidentally hyping her up. I also share a bonus hack—using a pet camera—so you can see when your dog settles and tailor your plan to what they actually need.
