About This Video

In this video, I’m making my favorite “cheater” one-ingredient crunchy treat: Beef Bark. It’s a crispy, chip-like dog treat that still brings that savory beef-jerky vibe—just without being thick and tough. The best part is that all dogs can enjoy it, including senior dogs (especially the little guys) who are prone to dental issues, extractions, or even having no teeth at all. Crunchy treats are fun, and I love that this recipe gives them a safe way to get that satisfying crunch again. To make it, I preheat my oven to 250°F and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. My “one ingredient” is The Honest Kitchen Pour Overs (I’m using the Beef Stew flavor, but I’ve also tested their Chicken & Pumpkin Stew and it works great too). I stir the box, pour it onto the parchment, and spread it out super thin—thin enough that you might even see the parchment through it, and that’s totally fine. Then it goes into the oven to dehydrate for about 2.5–3 hours, depending on your oven and how thin you spread it. Simple prep, big tail-wag payoff.
